As part of the Inside/Out Lecture Series organised by the School of Architecture at the Royal College of Art, Tyen presented 'Alternative Practice. Alternative Future' to discuss PHASE3 as a multi-layered, multi-scaled office. Here he talks about the different dialogues of PHASE3 as a way of turning the typical architectural office inside–out. By bringing these dialogues into one space he argues that it is possible to marry problems and principles with solutions and action. The result allows for the distillation of the complex down to its essence, which in turn helps to create new projects.
